A father-and-son team

Alamo Stairs is run by a father and son who are both on-site for every project. Alberto Sr., the owner and lead craftsman, has spent more than 15 years perfecting interior staircases. Alberto Jr. works alongside him on every build and runs the business side — so the same hands that build your staircase are the ones answering your questions, scheduling your project, and getting you a clear price range.

When you hire us, you work directly with the people doing the work — never a sales rep, and never a rotating crew of subcontractors. We treat your home like it's our own: a contained, tidy jobsite from the first day to the last.

A craft passed down

Woodworking runs in the family. Alberto Sr. grew up in his own father's carpentry shop — a true wood craftsman who built furniture and cabinetry for much of his hometown. He's been working wood since before Alberto Jr. was born, and the trade runs through the family on both sides, with relatives still building in the same line of work today. That heritage shows up in every staircase: an eye for proportion, patience for clean joinery, and the standards you only get from generations of working wood by hand.

Finishing done in-house — meet Roberto

The most visible part of any staircase is the finish — the stain on the treads, the paint on the risers and railings. We don't hand that off. Every finish is done in-house by Roberto, our dedicated finishing specialist. He spent years finishing cabinetry on kitchen remodels, so his strengths are exactly what a staircase needs: spray finishing, meticulous prep, flawless stain and paint application, and seamlessly blending new work into your existing trim and walls.
